Hi, I’m Vel.
Your interior designer and problem solver.
Inspired by watching my mom create and design tactile pieces as a seamstress and experiencing my dad’s creativity as a cook, I’ve been interested in art and creative outlets as early as I can recall.
My career started with a focus on interior architecture in New York City, after receiving a Professional Architectural degree from Woodbury University in 2003. I went on to work in the design offices of Atema Architecture, and Roman Williams in New York before moving into building envelope design and forensic architecture. Since then, my career led me back to my hometown of San Francisco to showcase my creative problem-solving skills and work on more technical aspects of the building exterior.
Now, with more than 20 years of design experience, I combine my background in traditional architecture with my joy for interiors to provide a holistic approach to bringing spaces to life.

“I believe the spaces we spend time in affect how we live and how we feel. And the design of that space influences how we use it.”
My Design Philosophy
The key is balancing form and function. Neither one should take precedence over the other.
A well-daylighted space, for example, can improve mood and productivity while an enclosed or unorganized space can cause low energy and workflow inefficiencies.
As our lives change, so too do our spaces. A growing family or the need to work from home may mean expansion.
The beautiful part is that every project is unique and customized to meet your vision while thoughtfully optimizing the space for form and function. Together, we’ll navigate through the entire process from design to construction, so you don’t have to do it alone.
